This story is strange and sometimes a little creepy, yet beautifully written and very imaginative. It is not quite a novel however, as the lyrical writing is spare, almost like poetry in some places. It is a surprising and refreshing piece of writing from the man who is best known for his Science Fiction, like the Martian Chronicles.
