Alternative history in which Rome never fell but continued on up till the present. It’s OK, the writing is smooth and entertaining enough, but the author uses too many adverbs (a writer’s no-no), which will strike some as nit-picking. Worth reading once.

Roman Empire as a global power a good premise in 11 alternative history short stories.
