I have seen this delightful Irish movie several times and kill myself laughing each time. Not to be missed.

One of my favorites. I just watched it again and it's as delightful as I remembered. Small town Ireland filled with characters hoping and conspiring for a slice of illicit lottery winnings. Two Irish geezers expertly played by the late Ian Bannon and David Kelly are a joy to watch. One of the pleasures of "Waking Ned Devine" is in the richness of the local eccentric population. Watch it for an evening of laughter. Made me wish I lived in Ireland.

comedy, poor community rich in friendship, big winnings, death, spiteful vindictiveness and awful comedic releif in ending.

I have to agree with the other commenters. Hilarious, delightful, and the naked old man on the motorcycle....tastefully done and very funny.

Hilarious, poignant, and delightful film about friendship and dreaming; it's perfectly cast, with the two leads Ian Bannen and David Kelly. With the news that Kelly has passed away, the world seems a darker place without him. Rest in peace, Mr. Kelly.

A delight for the entire family, even the quick scenes of a 70 year old naked man on a motor cycle comes out to be nothing more than good clean fun. An original idea made into a terrific movie. An enjoyable story with wonderful and like-able characters

Thoroughly delightful movie. Background scenery is of the old Ireland that is seldom seen any more.
