After reading T.H. White's'The Sword in the Stone' to my 8 year old, I did some more looking for retelling in language that might be a little easier to grasp, but that would also contain as much of the story as possible. I hope this book will be that. White's book is thoroughly enjoyable, but thick language for a younger child. As an adult I have thoroughly enjoyed it.
