Read this in Dec for book club - a quick easy read for a busy month. Not as much detail and build up as Anne Perry puts in her novels - but I guess that is why it is a novella! Intriguing mystery set in a winter scene.

This book had nothing to do with Christmas. It was sad from beginning to end. The ending was unsatisfactory and unfinished. The author suggests that the forger will be brought to justice but doesn't cover it in the story. If he was found guilty the family would have recovered at least some of their money.

The good thing was that there was no swearing or sex.

Mystery books are always really interesting just like this one! I definitely like this book, I read it in one day, and I highly recommend it, even though in some parts it got me mad, because I wanted to find out who was the killer! Which now that I finished it I think is the reason I liked it.
