A beautiful short book, that is an exchange of notes on the refrigerator between a mother and her daughter. I cried so much reading it.

Cried. Cried so hard. Very emotional. Very well-written. Ugh, very good book.

Imagine this. You're Claire, an only child who's not a child, almost an adult, almost able to take care of yourself. Not that you have a choice about taking care of yourself, anyway. Your dad's not in the picture, and your mom's a big-shot doctor.

You and your mom hardly ever see each other, but you love each other very much, so you stay in touch the easiest way you know how. By jotting down a quick sticky note to each other as you run out, and sticking it to the fridge. Sometimes it's a grocery list. Sometimes it's news about a date. Sometimes it's a complaint, we never see each other any more! But there's plenty of time for that later, right? Then one day, there's bad news on the fridge that changes everything.

Curious? This is a fast read, because it's told completely through these notes. Claire's story isn't an easy read, though. Some might even call it heartbreaking.

This book was recommended to me by a friend and I am so glad that I read it. It is an amazing book but it is emotional. I didn't think I would be that into it but it was truly amazing

Very sad, found myself crying at the end of it. But really touching. I know personally the pain of losing someone to this disease. Helped me to remember the good times

Read this in one day. Very sad, but I like the note-writing style.

Interesting story of a mother-daughter relationship and courage in the face of illness. I liked the original format of telling a story through notes.

I really enjoyed this story, and was able to read it in an afternoon. It was really nice to see the relationship between mother and daughter develop. Well done.

Such a sad story but also so poignant, especially as the relationship between mother and daughter becomes more apparent the further into this book you get. Well worth a read
