This book went by too quickly! I'm eager to read the next one because I feel like there's so much more to the story.
Random Note: I didn't count, but I swear she used the word "clandestine" thirty times in the book; since it's a unique word, it was a bit odd to see it so much.

I liked when the daughter said "just be yourself." The book reminds me about being a teenager. Anahi, age 13.

I LOVED this book!!!! Zach was awesome, the way she met him was perfect, and I loved the way Mr. Solomon set up the final exam. Josh was cute and sweet and nice and all, but Zach can actually know about Cammie for more than an hour or so before they wipe his brain. Plus his skills are freakin' awesome. So if you agree with me, say I to Cammach!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Or Zammie. Or whatever.

BOOK REVIEW:

Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy is the second book in the Gallagher Girls Series by Ally Carter. Choice to read this book is influenced by my enjoyment in reading the first book in the series where I fell in love with the plot and characters.
Cammie Morgan is the main character in the series who claims to not be normal, being a spy-in-training and all, and throughout the plot struggles to find her true self.
The story is set in Cammie's school all-girls school, the Gallagher Academy, and the main plot begins to set in when students from the mysterious Blackthorne Institute, an all-boys school, do an exchange and stay at the Gallagher Academy for a semester. But after a security breach that Cammie is blamed for, suspicions rise from Cammie and her roommates about the boys from Blackthorne and they begin their mission to investigate the real reason they are visiting the school.
My favourite part of the book is the first time Cammie associates with anyone from the Blackthorne Institute, and that is with a boy called Zach. On a CoveOps mission, Cammie has to reach a certain destination without a tail at a certain time, however Zach's mission is to infiltrate Cammie's mission. When he first makes contact with her he acts like a flirting boy - which is how Cammie sees him as, and not as a spy. Conversation between them is sweet and it can be seen as a start of a new relationship. I truly did not expect this to happen to Cammie however I liked the idea as this part really influenced a lot of the events to happen later in the book.
I enjoyed reading this book as some events were unpredictable and had set a good part in building up the story. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a mixture of romance, mystery and action put together.

It's like when guys who would normally hate being freakishly tall discover basketball, or when girls with abnormally long fingers sit down at a piano.
