The Dana Carvey Show

The Dana Carvey Show

Dana Carvey takes a decidedly hilarious spin on politics and pop culture. In addition to Carvey's legendary impressions and characters, Smigel introduced his now-famous "Ambiguously Gay Duo" on this show. Carvey and Carell had a running bit as two pranksters, and send-ups of The Beatles were consistently spot-on. Carvey's unmatched humor and talent attracted many guests to the show.

Love Dana Carvey, but can't recommend this short-lived series (it didn't even last the a full season). Just not funny, and unfortunately, painfully so. With the talents of Robert Smigel (admittedly, an acquired taste) and the now successful Stephen Colbert, you'd think they have a funny foundation, but sadly, no. I gave up after 2 episodes.

This is so bad, I can't imagine how it made it to a dvd.

One of the worst things I have ever seen. Barely a laugh over the entire eight episodes. Don't let the synopsis fool you, despite the efforts of all concerned (including Lous C.K.? how did he lend his name to this stinker?) this is one of the worst, most unfunny comedy series you will ever have the displeasure of crossing paths with.
