It's the debate of the ages; this time, held in a seemingly insignificant venue, but the outcome, as always, will be life-changing. A Christian college freshman, Josh Wheaton, and his atheist philosophy professor hold court on the existence of God. To pass the course, Josh must prove to the class that God is alive and well. This dare could cost him his relationships, his career, even his future, but Josh stands up for his faith and takes on the challenge.

The film wants to use science to prove the existence of God while debunking all science and discrediting all scientists. As a Christian I found the movie offensive though entertaining! The entire movie portrayed non-Christians as evil, violent, stupid and overall flawed in some way. I would love to have seen how the producers would have handled LGBT and abortion, but that probably would have been too controversial.

There is no way in hell any professor would force his/her students to give up their faith in God. It goes against campus policy. But that would not happen either, because no professor of philosophy would ever force his/her students to blindly accept something for that eliminates the point of philosophy.

It's clear that this movie has tried (and failed) to make an attempt to vilify secular colleges and atheists, while making Christians look like the victims of oppression

Long story, short: the Christians in this films are not the victims of oppression, they are just idiots who think they have all the answers.

This is a movie made for people who already believe that god isn't dead. It's not going to convince anyone who doesn't believe in god to suddenly do so, because it isn't convincing. It also relies on some tired and verging on offensive stereotypes. If you can ignore those and it fits into your belief system, you might be able to enjoy it as something cute and affirming.

This was a decent film, with mostly great parts and few not-so-great parts.
I just wanted to say a few things…
The acting was good throughout.
This movie was a bit cheesy, not not too much.
God CAN start cars, heal illnesses, resurrect people, or ANYTHING else that you might think of! He is GOD, for the love of cheese!
The evangelizing stuff at the end was a bit much.
If you accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, your life will not be perfect. But it will be better, because you will know that God loves you and will always love you, and that every bad situation always works out for your benefit. Maybe perfection-after-conversion was a little bit implicated in this film, but not very much.
I would say that the plot was entertaining, and the message was quite clear and correct—God is NOT dead.
