I really enjoyed this contemporary YA retelling of E.M. Forster's classic 'A Room With a View'. Lindner did a great job at capturing the spirit of the original book, and the use of third-person narration and the resulting sliiiiiiiiight distance between the reader and the character (refreshing after a neverending wave of YA books written in first-person) gave the book a sort of old-fashioned quality that felt appropriate given the classic book that inspired it. I found the protagonist likable in the extreme (and I think this was in part because of the use of third-person, which let the reader get a clearer glimpse of her character growth), and appreciated a YA romance that for once wasn't trying to make the reader fall in love with the love interest, but merely appreciate his relationship with the protagonist. Things tied up a bit neatly for my taste, but overall it was very well-done.
