I enjoyed the book. Although, the book feels kind of incomplete. We never actually learned the ghost's real name. I honestly thought he was going to reveal it at the end, but I guess not. :(
I enjoyed everything about the book except the ending. I predicted the ending the moment Wasp introduced the Catchkeep Priest.
Wasp is the Archivist. She killed her predecessor three years ago to ascend to this position and has killed three other girls to keep this job. An Archivist is she who is marked by the goddess Catchkeep and who keeps the town safe from ghosts. It is a thankless job with little benefit and all Wasp wants to do is leave. That becomes an option for her in the form of a ghost, a rather persistent one, asking her for help.
It's a little book that packs a punch. Wasp is everything you'd ever want in a female protagonist and the world that Wasp inhabits, and the one she goes to for the ghost, are similar as they are different and as much as I don't like to say like nothing you've ever seen, the imagination put into this is fabulous. I just wish there was more of it, meaning a little bit more explained.
