During a time of globally heightened debate, Journalist Phelim McAleer travels across the U.S. and Europe to speak with scientists and Americans living in fracking areas, in order to uncover the science behind the process and to determine its true consequences. Hydraulic fracturing, or "fracking," refers to the process of drilling down into rock and using pressurized fluids to extract energy sources such as natural gas and petroleum. Supporters of fracking state the economic benefit to the U.S. is great and that the process has rigorous standards by which it operates. Opponents of fracking voice concerns about contamination to ground water and land surface, as well as other environmental issues. Join McAleer on the search for the fracking truth.

Pretty interesting documentary. Apparently after Gasland, there were studies and tests on the water in a little PA town that was supposedly dying because of fracking. A PA university, the PA EPA, and the EPA all concluded that were were no changes in the water.
This movie goes into more detail for the issue as a whole. Quite interesting.

While the documentary doesn't convince that fracking is okay, it definitely makes the point that ultimately, we need to be seeking (and saying) the truth. Does the end always justify the means for environmentalists? Not for all of us.

Not objective at all and very boring. The movie could have been an hour shorter without losing any content.
This movie is no better than the Josh Fox movie it attacks.
Don't waste your time on this!

Remember how the Pacific Northwest
forest industry was decimated to save
the Spotted owl? Now. a generation later, it has been discovered that the
Barred Owl has been the culprit that
is killing off it's little cousin by moving into the same habitat in large numbers.
Nature at work ? Survival of the fittest ?
The Fish and Wildlife Service is starting a four-year experiment to kill up to 3,600 barred owls in the northwest.
Now, thanks to extreme envrionmentalists with lots of cash backing completely false statements,
Fracking has been demonized to the
detriment of farmers and poor people the world over. "Alternative" power sources are proven to be much worse environmentally and at
great social cost. Why are humans
suffering needlessly ? Watch this
truthfull documentary and learn.

Extremely well written and presented !
Not just a rebuttal to the Josh Fox film
"Gasland" ( which is proven to be totally
made up of hysteria inducing falsehoods)
but also a film of direct conversations
with the residents of those areas that
were targeted in Gasland as destroyed
or harmed by the fracking. Genuine
farmers with their land at risk tell their
side of the issues. A "Must See" for
concerned folks.

Very good movie. Fact based and debunks some of the extreme points of view. At least watch it and decide for yourself.

This is corporate propaganda. McAleer also made documentaries supposedly "debunking" global warming and in support of strip/pit mining. The titles of those other two propaganda films were "Not Evil Just Wrong" and "Mine Your Own Business" if you'd like to read more about this sack of garbage. McAleer gets funded by corporate interests to make propaganda films to persuade halfwits that these corporations are conducting their business in a socially and environmentally friendly way, when anybody with any common sense knows that they aren't. I wouldn't trust McAleer any more than I'd trust a pedophile to babysit my kids. Anybody rating this movie highly is, without a doubt, working in the fracking industry. I watch films like this just to have a thorough understanding of how propaganda is worded and presented....which is the same singular reason I watch politicians. So unless you want to sharpen your lie detecting skills, I'd thoroughly encourage skipping this piece of dog poo.
