Great introduction to Maya Angelou. The art suits the story and the way it is told (Angelou was "attacked" by her mother's boyfriend). I plan on reading more of this series. Angelou's courage and enormous creative spirit and thirst for life and love of people is evident in this simple biography. Highly recommend!
