An excellent book about a girl with TONS of problems who got her act together by hook or by crook only to have her marriage disappoint her. But she did the right thing--she fought for her marriage, worked hard at it with her husband and for the sake of the marriage and her children and the marriage survived and became stronger. Most people just want to walk away because it's easier. Very impressive and exemplary.

Wonderful, insightful book that allows the reader to gain knowledge and self help from the author. Whether you have dealt with some, all or none of the issues that Melton has, the reader will come away feeling inspired to lead a better, more positive life.

Its a story of healing and to face pain head on.
A beautiful, brutal journey for anyone who yearns for a deeper relationship.
At first I didn't like the way the author wrote the book, the way it was presented, but as I got use to her way of writing, it because a powerful book for me.
I thought I wouldn't like book, but the more I read, I could see where she was coming from and so glad I read it to the end.

I wanted to smack the self-pity and martyrdom out of this woman. I knew she would go back to her cheating husband and lost all my respect for her. Put the book down right after that. So disappointing.

Nothing "new" here. Yeah she's open and raw about her past, experience etc., but how does it help the next person confront what needed to be confronted before she got married such as: why are we getting married in the first place, what's it based on, how will it last (considering what it's based on)? The conclusion I came to after reading the book is: each relationship is unique, which therefore means overall conclusion cannot be reached though one would be: not to get involved with anybody who's involved with pornography which she found out early on (didn't she) and yet had more kids b/f ending the marriage.

"Free for all. Maybe grace is free. Free for the taking. Maybe it's even free for me."

I don't read Glennon's blog, nor had I ever heard of her prior to seeing her latest book, Love Warrior being advertised on Goodreads. It doesn't matter to me that her book is on Oprah's Book Club List for 2016; but I did read reviews about it and the majority of them were positive. So I borrowed it from the library when it became available and... WOW!

Glennon's story is powerful, honest, and real. She writes from the heart without adding any fluff, nor does she seemed concern about how readers might perceive her actions and reactions during that very unstable period of her marriage. Love Warrior is not just Glennon's story but it's her uncensored truth about life, love, and lost. What makes it beautiful is that I believe every woman can relate to her in one way or another. I even got a little emotional at one point while reading it. Now I'm tempted to check out her previous book, Carry On, Warrior.

Honest, raw, and powerful.

Melton's experiences in her life and her marriage could belong to anyone. The difference is how she reflects on them and how she articulates the process of growth necessary to function in a healthy and fulfilling way. This is an extremely thoughtful and well-written memoir.

Melton shares her story of pain in a way that every woman can find a piece to connect. While the incidents might not be the same as hers for some of us, the mask she wears is not unfamiliar. She explains that without pain, there is no growth - without love, there is no growth. Each is not mutually exclusive. Brutally honest and beautifully written.

This was a great read. Glennon's story is inspiring in its strength and resilience, and her writing is reflective, engaging, and powerful. She talks about her relationship with her husband in ways that aren't often discussed- from their wedding, to their children, to their therapy sessions, to the bedroom. Most importantly, Love Warrior makes you think about how we interact with each other in the world, and how much power we can harness from honesty and authentic connection. A quick read, and definitely worth your time.
