Casey Carter was convicted of murdering her fiancé . Although she was charged and served out her sentence in prison, she is still living 'under suspicion.' Her story attracts the attention of Laurie Moran and the Under Suspicion news team--Laurie Moran is going to try to get the truth to this case. A very good book from beginning to end.
An enjoyable read, but not as good as the other books in the "Under Suspicion" series. I felt that not much happened until about 2/3rds of the way through the book, and I had a hard time connecting to or feeling a lot of sympathy for Casey.
A bit rushed in the end, but another great read by Mary (MHC). The new author (Alafair Burk)also add's her legal expertise background to make this story a progression from the 70's and 80's era novels we are used to from MHC. You can hear the new Authors voice throughout the read, adding a younger perspective of the drama as it unfolds.
Please give some credit to Alafair Burke, since she co-wrote the book.
Not terrible, though I knew who did it within a few chapters.
Another good read from Mary Higgins Clark. If you haven't read any of her books, this is an author you should check out if you like mysteries.
Another good read from Mary Higgins Clark. Believe there's going to be another book in this series because of the way it ended.
Always enjoy the light mysteries that Mary Higgins Clark is famous for and this is no exception. This tale keeps you reading until the end when the final twist is uncovered.
