Yikes, this book misses the entire point of the study of biology! There are actually underlying themes in biology and this hit and miss book of random discoveries must be very confusing for the average reader. Entire important discoveries are missed and there are no unifying concepts.

Not for the beginner, more for a graduate student with a listing of major biological achievements and Nobel winners.
