Thought this was a ok 2nd effort.

There is a 80's Michael Jackson danceable feel to this album, that the collaboration with Daft Punk felt right. His high falsetto is usually haunting, but this is more upbeat with explicit lyrics.

Starboy is The Weeknd’s most mainstream album. There’s more pop on it than his previous works, but it’s still good. It still has songs that sound like his old stuff, but with new sounds that are pleasant too. Starboy, Sidewalks, True Colours, Die for You, and Secrets are the songs that stood out the most on this album. They stood out, because they are earworms. These songs will stay in your head long after you have listened to this album. I should add that the album isn’t perfect, it’s way too long and a few of the songs aren’t that great. It’s not a terrible album either. The album is a bit better than Beauty Behind the Madness. There are many pros that do outweigh the cons on whether this is a good album. It’s good and I’m interested to see what The Weeknd will do next.

Staryboy by the weeknd is his latest album. It is a mix of r&b and pop. The weeknd has really put himself as one of the biggest artists today as his popularity has been on the rise. This album helped that claim as it was enjoyed by many. His hit single Starboy, which opens the album, was one of the most popular songs of the year. The album contains 18 songs and some features including Future, Kendrick Lamar & Daft punk. This is one of my favourite albums by him and some of my favourite songs are Starboy, Reminder, Sidewalks (ft. Kendrick Lamar) and Ordinary Life. This album is a must recommend if you haven't heard it yet.

The Weeknd's third studio album, 'Starboy' is a must listen. It incorporates multiple genres including pop, R&B and even rap in the occasional spot. It fits in well with mainstream music, songs like Starboy, Reminder, Party Monster, Sidewalks, Six Feet Under and Die for You, all incorporate similar styles of his last two albums. Personally, I consider this album to be the best of his three released. You have your choice of catchy, soulful songs (True Colours), and even a few party songs. The inclusions of Future, Kendrick Lamar and Daft Punk all helped to gain the public attention of the album, and The Weeknd's own favouritism from the media boosted the album to the top 100 in just hours after it was released. Although a few of the songs don't necessarily fit in with the album as a whole (Stargirl Interlude), the songs that do cancel out the songs that don't. I truly would recommend this album to anyone that enjoys pop and r&b and believe anyone who hasn't heard it definitely should get onto it.

Starboy is the third studio album by Canadian singer The Weeknd. The album includes 18 songs and five singles: “Starboy”, “I Feel It Coming”, “Party Monster”, “Reminder” and “Rockin”. The songs in this album is influenced by Prince, The Smiths, Talking Heads and Bad Brains. The songs in the album have their own different tempos and tones. For example, “Starboy” is more of an up-tempo, melodious and rhythmic song. However, “True Colors” is more of a downtempo, bright and relaxing song. This album is one of my favourites out of all the albums I’ve listened to (from any artist), so it was difficult to choose which songs were my favourites. My favourite songs are “Starboy”, “Sidewalks”, “I Feel It Coming”, “A Lonely Night”, “Reminder”, and “Secrets”. I would recommend this album to people who would like to enjoy music by relaxing or finding a catchy song.

More pop than his previous albums, which isn’t surprising judging by his post-Fifty Shades career, but it turns out that isn’t a bad thing. There’s still a dark undercurrent to much of the album (Party Monster being the obvious example) but it’s a bit more fun than Trilogy or Beauty Behind the Madness. I prefer his older albums but Starboy is still solid.

The Weeknd is the Michael Jackson for this generation...outstanding album with a touch of '80's music of the most innovated musician out there right now...collab with daft punk is a great partnership.
