Kristen Stewart is always so awkward and so it ruins the movie a little bit. Still a must watch if you have read the series.

Twilight is a typical 2000s teen movie that is easy to watch and follow along with. Despite the cringey romances and awkward plot details, the movie is quite enjoyable to chill out to. Certain lines sound misplaced or confusing, and as in the book, the plot itself doesn’t make a lot of sense, but despite these traits, the movie remains quite accurate to the book and doesn’t make a total fool out of itself. While it is in no way deserving of an Oscar, the film excels in areas such as cinematography and flow. The series of events mesh together nicely and the pacing is just right, while the blue tint of the Portland town adds the perfect amount of mystique for a modern and sexy supernatural story. I think that the movie left out a lot things that was in the book that could have made the movie so much better. The impenitent was the conversations between Isabella and Edward that goes toward their relationship was left out of the movie. Also there was no indication about how Edward's family feels about her was not as intense as the book made it sound.

Good movie in general though.

A great movie to teach (or brainwash) young girls that if a guy is controlling & jealous towards you that those traits show that he must be in love with you & admirable in a boyfriend. When actually they should be taught that these are red flags to them they are key signs that this guy is gonna be abusive & it will probably be just as in the movie mental abuse. So many young girls are putting up ahole boyfriends because they think it’s “true love” when he runs away from you for over a year with no contact yes take him back let him be rude to u at school come on boy be like Edward show a girl
How to be loved just like Bella it’s so sad.

If you want REAL vampire romance, check out Let The Right One In instead; its five movies shorter and far more rewarding.

I'm giving this three stars, which is a little more than it deserves. I'm not really into the Twilight series, I thought that maybe watching the movie would entice me into trying to read the book again. The movie was good, but not great. I'm not a fan of vampire movies and I felt that "The Lost Boys" is a much better movie. However this is a lot less violent and only has a small climatic scene. I wish there had been a little more romance but there were some very sweet scenes between Bella and Edward. I really liked Kristin Stewart's performance as well as Robert Pattison's. I found his character of Edward a little creepy (Well, he is a vampire after all!), but the romance was pretty believable. I may give the book another try, but I think the movie was enough introduction to the Twilight series.

I liked these books. I like vampires and I like the idea of falling in love with a fated mate. What really sells this story - is the description of the Cullens. They are who are interesting. Bella's a witty, more complex character in this book - than we get to see in the movie. And Edward is more alive, funnier. You see why they get together and I don't think anyone imagined a bunch of glittering vampires when they read this book, she made it clear that it was an alien type appearance. What you're staring at is someone frozen in time - with a diamond-like appearance as in tough. I don't know how this translated to the movie as sparkly vampires. But there are so many great scenes in this book that were completely changed in the movie. The moment when Edward reveals he's a vampire - happens in a completely different location, that is much more humanizing. I just really like the book more. This movie adaptation is one you sit down and make fun of. There is just so much staring.

"please just tell me one theory". His eyes still smoldered at me. "um, well, bitten by a radioactive spider?"was he a hypnotist, too? Or was i just a hopeless pushover? " that's not very creative," he scoffed.
I'm sorry, thats all i've got,"I said ,miffed" You're not even close," he teased.
"No spiders?"
"And no radioactivity?"
" Dang." sighed
" Krpytonite doesn't bother me either," he chuckled
" You're not supposed to laugh remember?"
He struggled to compose his face.
