LOGAN is part kiddie superhero flick, part film noir. Hugh Jackman is decent, and so is the young actor who plays the little Wolverine. But in the end we're still left with a lowest-common-denominator corporate-cash-cow blockbuster. Has there been any good Marvel movie recently other than DEADPOOL?

Gritty. Definitely no superhero x-men gloss in this movie. A completely different style and perspective on the characters and genre. As always Hugh Jackman's acting is perfection and fit the role but overall the movie will not be what wolverine fans will be looking for/expecting.

Dark and extremely violent. Not very entertaining!

The name might be the same but he is not Wolverine, or Logan. Even the girl has more fighting spirit than him. And there is no character development, no bonding whatsoever, and no logic on the whole thing. Very disappointed.

Depressing. We don't like depressing movies. Only lasted through the first half hour.

Dark for a Marvel. More adult, but a good story. I enjoyed it.

The previous X-Men movies were good and I enjoyed them. They were still comic book characters with a little reality to bring them to life. But still "cartoony". I always believed that Wolverine was just a tamed Logan, and here he is.

Its real life, with real challenges for the characters. Some of them relatable to our own lives. Caring for an elderly and failing parent. A child with her own insecurities and walking the line on the edge of control. Keeping his own psychology in check while enduring constant bombardment from the outside world. Laura (Dafne Keen) almost didn't need to talk. Everything is said in her expression.

Yes...you need to know the X-Men background, but its a nostalgic and distant memory here.

I am notorious for falling asleep during movies. I don't think I blinked through this 1.

Well done.

This is mature stuff not for kids. It's part of the X-Men saga but it's a very different kind of X-Men movie. It's extremely violent and graphic. That's fine for adults but not recommended for kids (as was the film-makers' intent). Writing, pacing, and acting are all very good. Fight scenes are excellent. Some discs come with a black & white version. The one I borrowed was supposed to have it, but it wasn't there. Instead, I played the colour version again and adjusted the settings on my TV to simulate black & white. Not perfect but close. It looks great and has comes across with a bit of a different vibe. Recommended.
