Slight spoiler alert, like reading the movie's video case, or less.

Basically an SJW super hero movie. which would be fine by me if it was interesting. Her actual arc is interesting, but that is about 2 minutes of the movie.

This film combines a plot that makes no sense at all in which US hegemony is threatened, but they send on guy as a tourist to sort it out; The Swedish security forces get taken down by a dimwit; and I ended up not even caring if the world would come to an end, if the movie would end earlier.

This is combined with endless action sequences that are ridiculous. One of the hero's basically does a pullup with a shoulder that got shot through the bony mass; endless hacker sequences where with no advance notice and a glance at a phone, everything open in front of her. People can get ambushed from close range by ex-operators with sub machine guns, but only the bullets that support the obvious arc of the plot hit anything.

It is just the typical movie these days that has no reason to really be made.

I enjoyed the Girl with tattoo dragon movies the first 3 where so awesome but when they redid it with Daniel Craig is was AWFUL I hate when Hollywood wants to remake a movie and its bad and awful. I like this because it continues about Lisbeth Salander story and also a little about childhood also sister. This movie was more action and seeing Lisbeth more in action but the only thing I wish they would of had the original actors because they were very interesting to watch. I don't read the novels at all I should I really like the movies and I know the books would be more interesting. I was not sure they would keeping making movies or not, I like the title of this movie too, The girl in the spider's web and I hope they will keeping making movies which would be good.

Why are people easier on films like "John Wick", but seem to tear this film apart? This movie is action-packed, fast paced, and fun. It's true its not as dark, or complex as Dragon Tattoo, but its still pretty enjoyable. Give this movie a chance!

Basic action movie. Lisbeth wins in the end. Think I liked the Swedish version best of all the versions.

Mildly entertaining but I found it to be choppy and not greatly executed. I think the main actress was weak as an actress and they had her make too many mistakes. She was the largest threat and yet the bad guys would have her in a situation where they could just snuff her out and they do not.

I've watched the three originals in the series with Noomi Rapace (Swedish version) and the three American versions with Rooney Mara (which I hated).
This is a sequel and I enjoyed it much more than the first three films in the storyline. They were just too graphic. This was lighter but with a lot more action and some cool scenes.
If you like action-adventure you'll like the snare scene, the lake scene, the explosion scene, the bridge scene, and the jump scene. ;)

I agree it is not as good as the others in the series but still worth the watch. One of the perks w/renting these movies are all the extras.

The attacker's M.O. matches that of Lisbeth Salander, a local hacker with a history of aggravated assault. If my daughter and I had a message for her... I just want to say, whoever you are, thank you.

"Special Division." Is that an American euphemism for "no accountability and no oversight"?
-I don't know. Um... I mean, I'm feeling pretty overseen right now.
