The Cloverfield Paradox
DVD - 2019
Although astronauts routinely perform science experiments on spacecraft, we rarely have seen just how catastrophic they can be-until now. When a particle accelerator goes awry, suddenly the entire crew of a spacecraft must fight to stay alive. Relying upon all of their considerable skills and talents, they will need to improvise in ways they have never even imagined before. With each passing second making their prospects of a potential escape more tenuous, this crew must draw upon every resource to make a go of it.

Add a CommentA lot of unexpected and interesting surprises that were, unfortunately, cheapened and detracted from by moments of easy-to-see-coming, blatantly lazy plot development and/or sci-fi silliness. You won't remember all the cool stuff because you won't be able to forget the stupid stuff.
One of the best sci-fi comedies I've seen. This is what happens when you wanna-be Aliens and fail miserably. Quite laughable.
Meh.
Kind of a muddled plot, some standard space opera drek. Kinda derivative.
This is one wild and bizarre scfi movie I seen in a long time.
Great movie. Just as good as 10 Cloverfield Lane. Some might complain that the three Cloverfield movies are too diverse with no common thread. But the Cloverfield movies are all related and tell parts of the same story from different perspectives. This movie presents concepts which may seem crazy to some - like the multiverse. But I like to explore the edge of science and this movie pushes that edge. I was intrigued by this movie (and this series of movies) because they model the same universe that is described by Gamma World, which is a post apocalyptic game and among the very first role playing games next to D&D. In fact, the last version of the Gamma World game describes the apocalypse beginning in the same way described by this Cloverfield movie, with the same effects being that different co-existing universes are intermixed with our own. That results in strange monsters, advanced technology, and aliens appearing on planet earth.
Completely forgettable. Seriously. I watched it two days ago and I cannot tell you how it ended.
Paradoxically okay. Not as good as the other two films, but a pleasant surprise. Funny and creepy in equal parts.
