Evie has been taking care of her family for years, but mostly what she has gotten back from them is trouble. Her two jobs help pay for some of that trouble as well as many of her expenses. When a good friend from her stripping job sets her up on a blind date with Daniel "Mag" Magnusson, her brother calls and tells her he needs for her to pick up a package, so in the weirdest blind date ever, Mag goes with her. As he suspects, the package contains several different kinds of drugs and before long, Mag and Evie find themselves in the middle of a conspiracy involving a gun that had killed a police officer.

Dream Maker includes many characters from the Rock Chick and Dream Man novels, making it a little hard to follow, but the protagonists are both very likable characters and their adventures together are engaging. Overall, this is a very satisfying sub-series in the world of Kristen Ashley novels.
