HUGELY helpful in my understanding to the realities of World War One and other hidden facts. I definitely got a little bored at some points in the book; but right now we're going over World War I in my AP World History class and it's so nice to have that literary understanding. I thought the book itself was alright, some of the language won't make sense with some backnowledge. I was actually kind of excited when I found out it's part of a trilogy. Reading the second book right now (and it starts off pretty strange).
