I'm a parent of a 3rd grader and we adore the stories of Dick King-Smith. I only wish he were still alive to write more. This particular book is different from most of his animal-relationship books (all of which we love) in that he tells the story of a baby who is well beyond his years in cognitive ability, albeit stuck with all the physical limitations of any baby. He shares his secret with his older sister, who somehow manages to keep the secret from their parents. Very fun, funny book.
