Oct 09, 2019TEENREVIEWCREW rated this title 5 out of 5 stars
This movie is about a young girl named Shizuku who loves reading and wants to be a writer when she grows up. As she is reading she notices that many of the books she has read are also being read by a person named Seiji Amasawa and sets off to go find him. As she goes looking for him, she is met with an antique dealer and talks about writing her first book. Some of the things I like about this film is the attention to detail in the animation. Especially in the antique store everything was shown in such a beautiful way that made me appreciate the aesthetic of the place and the items. They were gleaming so brightly, it really showed how precious they were and how much care the owner puts into his shop. I also liked the love story that was told in the movie. Both the characters showed growth and mature love for each other, while also pursuing what they were most passionate about. They loved each other and wanted a future together and were willing to figure it out together. It was super sweet, ⅘ rating. --@minimonie of the Hamilton Public Library's Teen Review Board This movie is about a young girl named Shizuku who loves reading and wants to be a writer when she grows up.
