Everland is a brilliant fantasy-fiction novel. It uses the template of Peter Pan but transports the story into modern time, making every character much more relatable and complex compared to the original story. This version of Peter Pan takes place during the aftermath of bombings in England caused by the ruthless Captain Hook. These bombs and the newly unleashed disease has destroyed everyone in England except for the immune children, lead by Pete, who live in the secret lost city to avoid Captain Hook and his men. But time is running out, food is running out, kids start to become infected, and Gwen's sister has been kidnapped by Hook's men. This newer version of Peter Pan is a must read for all fantasy and adventure loving teens. The big difference with this book and the original is that the the author switched magic into logic yet this novel will still captivate on the first page. -@Flo_Reada of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
